The easiest mechanism to calculate mechanical advantage or drive ratio was the inclined plane because we did a lot of work with the levers. The hardest to calculate the mechanical advantage or drive ratio was the pulley system because before doing the math, we had to figure how much the weights weighed then we plugged them into the formula. The input force would be when we turned the belt and pulley system in the beginning. The output force would be when the car at the end hit all the bowling pins down except the 1. To make our compound machine more efficient, we could add rails so the cars wouldn’t get off track. Along with that we could have an actual track instead of it free rolling.

2.1.8 Truss Design
Held to 13lbs. Weighed 0.2 oz
Held to 26lbs, and .074in. of displacement. Weighed 0.1 oz
2.1.8 Conclusion Questions
1. We think that the first failed at the gusset because when we were waiting for the glue to dry, we used clips to hold the gussets in place. When we unhooked the clips, they left an indent in the wood and half of the gusset was off of the corner. When we tested them, the two gussets that were clipped together had left part of the stick exposed, making it snap.
2. If we had a chance to redesign, we should have not used the clips so the gusset wouldn't be sticking out. I would have also used just a touch more glue so the would stick together a little better.

Conclusion Questions
1. What was the most difficult part of the problem?
Our problem was trying to get the controller to work. We were just going to use the buttons, (as shown in the picture), but then we figured why not use the controller. It was a whole lot easier.
2. List and describe two features that were not part of the design problem that could be added to improve your design.
We were going for a tank like look. So we could cover the cortex and other stuff to make it look like an actual tank. As well as try and make the controller not corded.
